A government school teacher from Rampur, Uttar Pradesh — National Yoga Coach, published author distributed across 30+ global platforms, Khelo India honouree, and founder of a happiness movement that is changing lives across India.
I am Jyoti Khurana — a government primary school teacher from Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, who refuses to be defined by a single role.
I have trained at the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala — the country's most prestigious sports institution — as part of the 3rd National Yogasana Coaches Training Program. I have stood on podiums, carried the Uttar Pradesh flag at national championships, coached athletes across the state, and judged competitions from district to state level.
I founded the Happiness Awareness Movement in 2022 — not as a brand, but as a commitment. I have written 3 books in Hindi, recorded an audiobook in my own voice, and been featured on Rudra News TV, recognised by Khelo India, and honoured by multiple foundations and institutions.
I cleared both CTET Paper 1 and Paper 2. My book was launched by UP State Minister Smt. Gulab Devi. I have met and learned from an International Yogasana Coach at the national level. Every single achievement is earned.
"Happiness is not something you find at the end of a journey. It is the quality of attention you bring to the journey itself."
Long before the books were written and the movement was named, there was yoga. Years of dedicated practice, early mornings, and a discipline that most people only talk about.
Jyoti ji trained at the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Netaji Subhas NIS, Patiala — India's most prestigious national sports institution — qualifying as a National Yogasana Coach Level 1. She has represented Uttar Pradesh as a flag bearer at the 5th National Yogasana Championship in Tumakuru, Karnataka. She has competed and placed at state level. She has been recognised alongside International Yogasana Coach Marium Max Ma'am.
As a State and District Yoga Judge, she has brought expert assessment to competitions across UP. As a Guide Captain, she has led teams. The body and mind are not separate — and nowhere is this truer than in Jyoti ji's life.
"The mat taught me patience. The competition taught me courage. The practice taught me that the real opponent was never across the room — it was always the untrained mind."
— Jyoti KhuranaIn 2022, Jyoti Khurana founded the Happiness Awareness Movement — not as a brand, but as a commitment. A commitment to the idea that happiness is not luck, not wealth, not circumstance. It is a skill — and it can be taught, practised, and lived.
The movement operates through social media content, books, workshops, video series, and structured online courses. Every piece of content is grounded in research — drawing from positive psychology, neuroscience, Vedic wisdom, and lived experience.
It asks one question: "What is actually stopping you from being happy right now?" — and then provides real, evidence-based answers in Hindi, for every Indian household.
